To Kill A Mockingbird - Play - 12
May 1st 2026 - 6:30 PM-

Step into Harper Lee’s world with the stage adaptation of *To Kill a Mockingbird*, performed inside Monroeville’s historic Old Courthouse Museum. This immersive production invites audiences to experience the story in a setting that closely reflects the time and place of the novel.

In keeping with the tradition of the era, any white male age 18 or older may be called for jury duty during the performance. If selected, he will be asked to sit with the jury during the courtroom scene.

Join us in Monroeville for the Spring 2026 production of Dramatic Publishing’s adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird. The play runs for approximately two hours and is presented in two acts - Act I outdoors and Act II indoors. In the event of inclement weather, Act I will be performed inside, and Act II will follow as scheduled.

Visitors travel from around the world to enjoy this unique production, and Monroeville is happy to welcome you. There are so many reasons to see this production in Monroeville but don’t just take our word for it:

“After seeing 3 different versions of To Kill a Mockingbird in 3 different places with 3 different casts, I can sincerely and unequivocally say that the BEST by far is the production in Monroeville, Alabama.  This beautifully performed play adheres most closely to the true spirit and message of hope and inspiration of Harper Lee’s novel as shown in the quiet yet powerful portrayal of the strength and dignity of Atticus Finch as he tries consistently to impart his values of equality, respect and justice to his children and thus, really, to each and every one of us.  As you leave the courthouse after the play, you do so with a smile on your face and hope in your heart, something sorely needed in all times, especially ours of today.”
