Join Monroeville Main Street for our 4th Annual Paint the Town event with Plein Air South and the Monroe Council for the Art!  Plein Air Artists from around the state will be in Monroeville for the Paint Out which conisides with the Monroeville Literary Festival!

5:30PM – 7:00PM Meet the Artist Party with Refreshments -- Artists check in & pick up packets.

9:AM -Noon - Artists Paint

1:00 PM – Artists Paint.

 

Saturday, March 2, 2024

8:00 -8:45 AM - Artists pick up "Quick Draw" canvases(or register their personal canvas) and head to their selected site on the square.  The quick draw is open to artists who want to try plein air plus we will have a children's division for $10.00 per artists!(bring your own easel and pastels, paints, markers, crayons, pencils, etc.

9AM - 11AM - Quick Draw Competition - the competition starts when the bullhorn sounds and ends 2 hours later. Completed artwork must be turned in BEFORE the 2 hour deadline!

Noon – 3:00 PM – Paint the Town Wet Paint Sale - space will be limited so we are asking for no more than 4 submissions per artist (all Monroe County subjects) and half must be “wet”. We will also have a "Quick Draw Sale".  Prizes will be awarded between 2PM & 2:30PM and all artwork must remain until the end of the show.
