2023 Farm To Table Dinner Fundraiser Set for Tuesday, June 20th

MONROEVILLE, Alabama June 15, 2023 Monroeville Main Street (MMS) Executive Director Anne Marie Bryan announced, for the third consecutive year, MMS is to host its Farm To Table Dinner, featuring Alabama farm fresh foods, this month. Slated for Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 6 o'clock in the evening at The Shop, located at 66 North Mount Pleasant Avenue in downtown Monroeville, this annual occasion benefits vital projects that support the revitalization of downtown Monroeville, according to Bryan.

Mrs. Teresa’s Homemade Treats, a Monroeville Main Street Member, was tapped to cater the affair this year and will prepare a meal that is a tribute to the agricultural heritage of Monroeville. The 2023 Farm To Table Dinner menu will be comprised of Pepper Jelly Glazed Chicken, Creamed Corn,  Roasted Red Potatoes,  Bacon Wrapped Green Bean Bundles, Homemade Corn Bread and Biscuits with local Honey, and  Peach Cobbler.

In addition to the meal, the evening will include a cocktail hour with a charcuterie & cheese appetizer table featuring numerous Alabama-made and grown products,  as well as a musical performance, and a live auction.

 

Monroeville Main Street is offering event tickets to its members for $60.00 per ticket, and to non–members for $75.00 per ticket, or $150.00 for 2 tickets and a 2023-24 Friend level Monroeville Main Street membership.  Farm To Table Dinner tickets are available at the Monroeville Main Street offices, located at 86 North Alabama Avenue (inside the Chamber of Commerce), downtown Monroeville, Alabama.

 

The MMS Executive Director expressed her appreciation to supporters of not only the 2023 Farm To Table Dinner, but Monroeville Main Street since its inception in 2014, saying, “We are grateful to the myriad Monroeville community members who personally and professionally chose to sponsor our fundraiser dinner. This MMS event, and others, have allowed Monroeville Main Street to significantly strengthen the Heart of Monroeville  through our projects, which include the B.U.O.Y. (Business Understanding & Ownership for Youth) program, the Small Box Shop, the Literary Capital Story Trail, Second Saturdays on the Square, and the Monroe Council for the Arts.”
